This is the first in a 2-part series. Part 2 here. See *2 OFFERS at the end of this post*.
I collaborated with Yetunde Sarumi for a segment of my styling service reserved just for designers & store owners. If you’ve been on Memkoh.com (currently under reconstruction), you’ve probably seen the styling categories on there and if you were ever confused about what #StyledbyMemkoh for designers entails, here is some clarification.
Yetunde Sarumi got the full #StyledbyMemkoh package, from styling for her most recent collection – bts pictures here – to this #4WaystoWear photoshoot & video styling and also the virtual styling that will be coming soon. It was a complete joy to work with Yetunde, whose work I first saw via MyStyleOasis when she started participating in the PrettyGirlsSew monthly sewing challenges. So Miss Yetunde, although she has her hands full with her self-titled brand, is also dedicated to passing knowledge on, to help others become more confident sewers or just sew better to earn a living. And I love that. Her brand also donates a percentage of all sales to ASF, Africa’s Daughters Foundation for a “Seamless Change”…get it? Read about the fund here and donate with this link. Or, you can shop her items, save with my unique discount code AND still donate to ASF. Major win!
I’ll now go on to revealing the 4 ways I styled this pink Yetunde Sarumi top.
#4WaystoWear : Pink Yetunde Sarumi Top
Style Tip: The length of your skirt communicates a lot about your outfit. See the next 2 pictures.
- With Loafers and a belt
- With heels:
Surpriiiisseeee! It’s a 5th look! Yetunde Sarumi’s tops just have the perfect color and fit. I’m happy this top matched the pants perfectly. I never made my trend predictions post for 2016, but trust that pleats are definitely going to have a moment this year. Remember when I called this on palazzo pants 2 years ago and they have been and are still the rave? How much more when you combine palazzo pants with pleats.

To the designer, Yetunde Sarumi, THANK YOU for simply being amazing and trusting me with this project. I had reached out to a brand in Texas last year, to style the looks and the owner still said no because according to her, she needed to see I had done this for someone before. So it means a lot that Yetunde said yes and worked with me throughout the process. It was an absolute pleasure to style these looks for Yetunde Sarumi.
- As a reward, Yetunde has given me a discount code to pass onto my readers. For your amazing and unparalleled support, take 10% every single item on YetundeSarumi.com with code MEMKOH.

3 years ago, before I officially went into styling, blogging, personal shopping, all I wanted to do was help people save by creating this network that allows members to receive special discounts. Look what’s happening now, folks!
