Life often presents us with two options – Quality vs. Fun.
Do you ever feel like you need to give your thighs a break from the friction of skinny everything? It’s the one reason I searched far and wide for these wide-legged pants now referred to as Palazzo Pants. In the past month, I’ve styled this particular pair in 3 ways and this post marks the 4th. Let’s call it #4WaystoWear, human edition. 🙂
Once this architecture-inspired crop top arrived in the mail, I knew it would make a great outfit with my white palazzos. Although I shot this outfit way before pairing it with a pink full skirt for Breast Cancer Awareness, I held back on publishing it. Why?
I decided to do a retake because my hair was not slicked back the first time (more befitting due to the cut of the top) and I felt the pictures were too bright (they were professionally taken with lighting which I’m not used to). I wanted a fun shoot where a friend, usually an amateur photographer jumps behind the camera and blesses me with 200+ pictures.
Now, I’ve learned that some things are not worth doing twice. Or better put, you don’t need to go looking for what you think you want elsewhere because the results you desire may not be as good as the first. Be content!
But I was not.
Oh and my L’Aviye accessories which I dreamed of styling this outfit with, hadn’t yet arrived so add up those reasons.
I wanted a fun shoot with my hair slicked back, natural lighting and my L’Aviye accessories. I got them all but save for the last reason, did I really need a retake?
Again, life often presents us with these options – Quality vs. Fun and ultimately, the choice is yours.
Pants: Missguided || Crop top: Nastygal || Trench coat: H&M || Shoes: Justfab || Clutch and bracelet: L’Aviye
