Happy Monday everyone!
It’s been a week since I got back from Istanbul for the 13th International Biocomplexity Summer School. Being my first summer break since 2010, I really don’t know what to do with all this free time. I have a lot of things to do to keep me busy like making new accessories for my store, blogging and planning for the months to come. I just need to structure them so that it feels more like work, not leisure. In summary, I miss college.
Sorry about that digression. This post will contain all the outfits I wore in Istanbul during the 13th International Biocomplexity Summer School I attended right after my graduation. Click here to read about my experience and see pictures of where we stayed and the places we visited. I couldn’t put up pictures of the lectures/student presentations as those were highly confidential.
Excursion & Banquet Day: Jet-lagged, I kept my outfit really simple with a pair of jeans and a top. The highlight of this outfit was pairing a textured, lilac top with a bright pink lipstick.
Top: New York & Company || Jeans: Delias || Slippers: Calvin Klein (Macy’s) || Bag: Lulus
Later that evening, we had our first banquet, held at another university’s campus. It was at this banquet that we became NSF Fellows. 🙂
For this first banquet, I wore a black and white geometric striped dress which I had worn earlier for one of my graduation festivities. This time, I threw on a cropped shimmery jacket from H&M to make the outfit banquet appropriate.
All 3 of us (pictured below) are from Drexel University. Luckily, we all knew each other through serving on the Drexel Students Global Advisory Board (Drexel SGAB) this year.
Email email@example.com if you’re in Drexel and would like more information about study abroad, co-op abroad, fellowships and other international opportunities. 🙂

Student Presentations & 2nd Banquet Day: Because we had presentations this day in addition to lectures, I wore a loose-fitting, button-down shirt with white jeans to maintain a summery feel. I took a walk down the beach (which was right in front of us) after lectures.
After taking a walk down the beach and disturbing this stray dog, I went to get ready for our 2nd & final banquet which was in less than an hour. I slipped into a black tube top with T-satin detail and a gold embellished teal pencil skirt. This skirt came with a matching top and I decided to wear them separately before wearing them together. I’ll show you how I wore the top back in May later. I love the colors of my first chunky heels. They are extremely comfortable too.
