Romper Summer! Ooh that sounds good, right? My friend asked me to style a romper in 4 ways, including a set that’s dressed down with casual/sporty shoes, so I did. I found this really gorgeous romper last week and I was torn between using this upbeat romper and a basic, more summery romper. After seeing this romper on the model, – the clean cut, off-shoulder detail, V-cut and pleats – I couldn’t resist.
Play up your romper with accessories in different hues of the color of the romper. I threw in the floral pumps for an unexpected twist.
Finding the right coat for this structured romper meant staying away from brightly colored or over-dramatic coats and this powder pink Stella McCartney coat fit that criteria to the tee. Great for a classy day or night outing, you can’t go wrong with a pair of nude heels and the round orange purse for a fun yet sophisticated finish.
Per my friend’s request, this set is the sporty look. Because this romper is more dressy than casual, it might look weird at first. Reconsider. The pattern on the Vans plays down the romper to a “comfy chic” look. On second thought, a pair of white Vans/Converses may have been a better choice and tassels are fun! Hint: tassel bag.

Oh dear Kimono! This set wouldn’t have been complete without a kimono; you’d think I have a closet full of kimonos. 🙁 What am I waiting for? What are you waiting for? Add a pair of heels in the most prominent color on your kimono and a color block or basic black clutch.
